Tam was a Wiccan Gardnerian High Priest with 40 years of experience of a variety of traditions and a popular speaker and teacher. He was originally from Dundee and very proud of his Scots ancestry, he moved to London in the 70s to attend Goldsmith’s college and settled in the capital for life. He had been a prominent figure on the London Pagan scene for decades , and was known for his extensive knowledge and friendly approachable nature. He was an early supporter of Witchfest and Children of Artemis, and would always be found in the café at Witchfest drinking tea talking to a group of both old friends and newcomers who had sought him out.

He was especially knowledgeable on mythology, history, the development of Wicca, and a wide variety of related subjects. A constant source of inspiration to others, he continued to teach Wiccan beliefs to those who was interested until the end of his life. He sadly died on the 28th December 2023 and was buried on February 1st at Greenacres Woodland burial site in Buckinghamshire.
