Bradford on Avon, Saturday 11th May 2024
Held in Bradford on Avon, BA15 1BY
BoA’s Green Man Festival harks back to ancient, mystical times when wolves, witches, fairies and hobgoblins stalked the land. When BoA was the wild borderland between Wessex and Mercia. Where travellers from the Wansdyke, Avebury, Stonehenge and Camelot crossed the Broade Ford to our ancient hillfort. Join us to travel back into those times – meet our host, the Green Man, our giant Jack in the Green (the walking bush) and our very special Jill in the Green. Connect with our ancient past, discover your inner pagan and experience weird creatures, strange dance rituals and raucous revels.
2023 was our 6th event and the biggest and best so far – again – blessed by wonderful weather, fantastic performers at over a dozen venues and huge crowds of happy people. A review and photos are here.
Our 7th annual event is on Saturday 11th May 2024. Wear something green and join in the closing parade at 3.30pm.
